Yard Help to big to take care!!!!?

I recently bought my first house. It has a lawn size of 6000 Sqft.
It is taking forever to mow the lawn. To maintain that lawn is too much expensive. It has 12 zones to water. 6000 sqft is equally divided around the house.
Nearly 50 plants surrounding whole lot.
Any ideas how to reduce the size of the lawn to be a less maintenance free.

How do I Kill Everything.?

Hello
I live in Southern Arizona and as you may know the common landscaping material is sand/dirt/rock.
However my yard has been neglected for far too long.. weeds have taken root.
there are no plants nearby that i need to save… I want to destroy all living weed in my yard… Round-up only makes them stronger..i dont want to spend the money to hire a professional…
Any suggestions?
… when the roman army wanted to destroy agriculture i heard they would "salt the earth" .. does this mean literally speading salt water would kill the plants? i could buy bags of road salt and a garden hose to do that…..

thanks

ok so I live in a flat and have no running water down stairs in the lobby where my huge aquarium for my terrapins is.

I am hoping to fill it by syphoning water from the bath. I will need to do regular water changes and its a lot of water so I need to find the best way.

There are no taps suitable to attach a hose to and plus I would like to get the water the right temerature before it gets to the tank so I don’t have to take my turtles out and stress them.

I have a length of garden hose, and sucking it doesn’t work lol.

I tried to fill the tube with water in the bath to start it off to and that wont work.

Has anyone any ideas how to do rhis, is there anything I can do to start it off?
yes, thanks, my bath should be safe as my son and I use very few and gentle products due to allergies. the bath will be thoroughly washed and rinsed. I’ve bben using the bath as a vessle for preparing the water for them for a year now and they have not suffered any ill effects. I myself admit that it is not ideal but it seems the best option.

My lobby is down stairs, ground floor. Exactly my thoughts, I didn’t want it to leak upstairs!!!
I am going to syphon the waste water out of my front door and out into the garden to water/fertilise my plants and any excess will go down the drain.

I will try filling the hose again. I didn’t have the bath very full last time!

Hi, i am a full time college student who wants to start a lawn care business. I have around 500 dollars to invest in this. I do not have a truck or a trailer, so I will not be using a riding lawn mower or zero turn around. I will be hauling the equipment using a jeep.

I plan on buying a push lawn mower and a weed eater. I might buy a rake and a shower. Also, i might get a trimmer so i can trim plants. Now i was wandering what else could i do to beside cutting grass. I know i can trim plants, rake leaves, and etc. But what else could i do, and also any advice would be helpful.
Also, should i cut grass once a week or do it twice a week. I stay in Virginia if that helps.

Should i charge more money for extra services like raking and etc. I just can’t think of any more services i could include, if i decide to do this.

Apparently the wed kilelr I purchased also affects plants and grass. I was so carelfu by spraying a very small amount on the weed/dandelions only. Looks like a mini crop circles. How can I revive the grass back to life? I just got my first home and dont know anything about lawn care except cutting with a lawnmower. Please advice. Thank you!

I’ve weeded and amended the soil in my garden. Now I want to put drip irrigation in, landscape fabric, and microbark. I want to put plants in at a later date. If the irrigation tubing (not the emitter hoses) is under the fabric there’s the advantage of them being out of sight but the disadvantages of not knowing where they are when you walk in the garden and not being able to get to parts that may be leaking. Thanks!

I was watering my plants last summer and I noticed these small flea-like things on my Dalhia.I wet my plant with the hose because I thought I would wash away the bugs but they stayed. What are they and how can I prevent them? Please help,I’m new to the gardening section.
