I want to work for a lawn care company but my friend said you have to be 18 to operate a commercial grade zero turn mower as a job. Is this true. By the way I am 16 and have a drivers license.

What should I charge to mow lawns?

I was thinking about starting a local lawn care company (just me) where I provide mowing and trimming. What do you think is a good rate to charge to mow an average sized yard? And how much extra should I charge for trimming with a weedwacker?

Suggestions for naming our landscaping company?

Looking for a name for a landscaping and lawn care company. We’re located in Florida.

I want to start my own lawn care company

my father owns a lawn care company. he wishes to expand it in to trimming and cutting trees. problem is we have no idea where to obtain the licens to cut trees.

where would we start?

there is currently only 1 other company that deals with trees. they over charge and have a habit of not doing what they are paid for. my father things he can easaly swer them asside.

i live in the USA, in oregon.

WHY?! I’m telling them to go fly a kite, ’cause I already dispose of it all over my lawn like Scott’s Lawn Builder tells me to do.
WHO’s right. The enviroment people, me, or Scott’s Lawn Care Company?
I may give up and bulldoze my grass and put in green-colored stones. And then I could sell my lawn mower! What do you think?

what should i do? My lawn care company killed vegies in my garden bed when they treated my lawn and some areas – not spot – are yellowish and the top of the grass all my yard are burned. they said they will compensate the damage to the vegies but the lawn will be ok in 2 weeks.

Has anybody used liquid lawn aeration?

About 2 months ago I laid a new sod yard. I tilled the entire yard about 6-8 inches deep to loosen the soil to give the new sod roots a good start. Well, the yard isn’t doing so good even after continued watering. I called in a lawn care company and they have treated the lawn with fertilizers and premergers (for the weeds growing between the sod). They recommend lawn aeration and overseeding this fall which is what I plan to do. I have found a few companies that offer a liquid aeration that is supposed to be better that traditional methods such as spike or core aeration. Has anyone had any experience with this type of aeration? Aerify! and LazyMan™ Liquid Soil Aerator are two of the companies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m thinking of starting a lawn care company in my home town of Louisville, Ky and was wondering if there are any special permits/licenses that are needed in addition to the usual business licenses from the state and county. Thanks in advance.
