I am thinking about starting my own lawn care business. I am 18 trying to put myself through college and already successfully started a very well known DJ business so I know I can do this. I am just trying to find out more info.
What would you normally pay for someone to mow and edge a regular sized lawn?
I also want to have different packages that of course cost more two. I want an hour but am not sure if that is hoping for to much?
Thanks

I am 15 and I want to make a lot of money this summer, of course I could try to find a job but not many people will hire a 15 year old boy. So in return i thought up starting a lawn care business, the company will limit it self to mostly mowing, and weeding, with the occasional other jobs around the yard. I have asked a few guys if the want in and they all seem pretty intrested but how can i ensure they wont back out? if i loss them the business goes bell up considering i have no equipment but i will be running the show, and the business side of it. Also whats a good price for mowing and weeding, i want to be able to beat all other services, any help would be great, thanks.

It’s for a John Deere Riding Mower with a rear wheel base of 39 in. I’m trying to start a lawn care business but being only 14 i don’t have a lot of money :$ So if someone can give me step-by-step instructions on how to make one or send a link to me. I might be a little picky about saying this but i don’t want to duct tape weights on a plastic sheet a zip tie it to the mower. THANKS

I recently started a lawn care business and wondered if i could make a good profit on fertilizing the grass as an extra, but charge more. If so, should i buy one that makes it real green, or make it grow fast but not so perfect green? I mow lawns and edge, but i dont know if I should also advertise fertilizer as a service we could do also.
———————–PS. I need to know how much i should charge for it and how much money i should spend on fertilizer. Thanks

Hi, i am a full time college student who wants to start a lawn care business. I have around 500 dollars to invest in this. I do not have a truck or a trailer, so I will not be using a riding lawn mower or zero turn around. I will be hauling the equipment using a jeep.
I plan on buying a push lawn mower and a weed eater. I might buy a rake and a shower. Also, i might get a trimmer so i can trim plants. Now i was wandering what else could i do to beside cutting grass. I know i can trim plants, rake leaves, and etc. But what else could i do, and also any advice would be helpful.
Also, should i cut grass once a week or do it twice a week. I stay in Virginia if that helps.
Should i charge more money for extra services like raking and etc. I just can’t think of any more services i could include, if i decide to do this.

Looking at getting a new lawn mower for my lawn care business. What is a good commercial lawn mower. Need about 32" or 33" mower that will last a long time?
That’s the biggest lawn mowers I can get right now to be able to fit on my trailer, with the rest of my equipment.

I am starting a lawn care business and want to project profitability. I want to know how many times an average lawn get mowed every month. Twice? Once? Every week? I would just like a straight forward, estimated answer.
