I have Zoysia grass in my yard in one spot; its a fairly large patch; and it has been spreading – somewhat. It does well. Can anyone offer me general health care tips for this lawn (which is very nice looking) and tell me how to encourage it to spread? I’m a novice lawn care person, so please be clear (like don’t just say put fertilizer around it, I don’t know what month to do that in…).
Thanks alot for any help

I bought my house end of last fall, so I was able to see it needed a lot of work maintenance wise with all of the weeds. Now Spring has rolled around and the dandelions are ALL over along with a bunch of other weeds and quick growing grass. What is a the best natural mix or store bought spray or local lawn care place (I live in Fargo, ND) that I should use?

Sometimes people put these little white pellets all over their lawns and it gets on the sidewalk. They have a very strong odor. I’m guessing it’s some sort of lawn-care chemical. What is it exactly? Fertilizer or pesticide?
I’m wondering because my brother (10 years old) got some on his feet today, while playing barefoot on the sidewalk. He says his feet keep burning, and they are really red underneath.

I am a first time home buyer with very little experience in gardening or lawn care. I have a third of an acre with a beautiful area for flowers, however I began raking away the wet leaves from last fall this week and realized there is about two inches of wood mulch then a plastic lining. This plastic lining can come up right?? I want to get to cleaned out, but I am afraid to remove the plastic.
Please let me know if I should remove it or leave it alone…thanks!!

I discovered the infestation probably a little too late(well atleast for one poor tree on our property) I know it’s too late to kill the grubs but now there are sooo many especially in the big tree that is almost leafless because of them. I called our lawn care dudes who are completely useless to come and spray our trees but they have yet to show up and its two days past the day they said they would come….but that’s a different issue LOL
