out drain hose, yes i had the ‘drain bib’ opened, stuck garden hose in filter compartment, filled back up,started, leaks waer, inspected all unions, etc, etc. ok. water came from under the tb,sorse unknown, tub manufacturer says i got water in air lines, does not tell how to remidy or avoid doing again.when i ask him wher the waer would leak out of air lines ,because i loo and feel and can not identify where it is leaking,he says he does not know.i am in the midwest and he is on the east coast so i am hard pressed to talk to him at all because of work.to combound to my problem ,the guy that built my home[before i moved here] built the floor 7 and 1/2 inches below grade…so iworked very hard to put up an exterior wall and built up the floor with pressure treated wood and went to very great lengths to not allow water, rain, moisture in,hand dug a200foot french drain and never drempt i would have troube like i am having. paid for the tub 1 year and 4 months ago, hooked it up 1month ago, been in it once .i hope no one has to go though what i have only to have this happen and then not be able to control the ph and free clorine to boot .i don’t even want to use it,but with the higher electric bill and the cost of the tub,all the work i did to house the tub i feel as the universe has closed in on me. ps.cyanuric acid, total alkalinity, and total hardness readings seem alright. how do i lower the ph and free clorine with out haveing the others be to low? i am border line on them being to low now! it did not help when at the start the tech. support did not even know the amount of salt to use which is soposed to be 4.3 lbs which is the same as 4.3 pints of salt iam told. he had us put in 7 lbs to start and theafter days of frustration trying to balance out took it to a spa and pool dealer and had it tested and they said that we were ‘bleached out’ that was when i emtied it . the heater at this point seems to be ok,as well as the pump and all the mechanical, although i am betting that my situation has not helped in their life expendence.thak you for your help and support. for your time my God BlessYou.

I have a section in my yard that I want to kill the grass so I can put down some pea gravel for a playground. What would you use? If you choose natural please say why and what is the recipe? If you choose the store bought products, please say why and which kind. I am a 100 % noob when it comes to lawn care.

As the weather approaches above freezing, and I’m still stuck in the house cause it’s too chilly to play outside with my toddler, I’ve begun my "spring" cleaning that will culminate with the airing out of my house as soon as it’s warm XD I just turned off my ceiling fan that has been running for circulation all winter and OMG lol. So what’s your favorite cleaning tips? Anyone have any idea how to get the outside of my window clean(we live in a 2nd floor apartment and have no ladder to get at it from the outside, nor are we allowed to have garden hoses so I can’t spray clean it from the ground. I can get the bottom half, but have no idea how to get the part that is blocked by the upper window when I slide it up far enough to get my arm in there. I live about a block from an oil refinery, so there’s all sorts of gunk on the outsides that’s driving me nuts lol. So what are your favorite cleaning ideas/tips that don’t involve me spending any money, I have a vacuum w/ a hose, and your basic cleaners, but don’t plan on any new doohickeys or "easy cleaning solutions". Thanks!
Thanks so far~ I am planning a yard sale in about a month to help take care of clutter, and unfortunately, this particular window doesn’t come out, it’s practically antique lol, our landlord has replaced half the windows in our apartment, and is trying to get us to replace 2 that have cracked(were that way when we moved in, and our building is very crooked, so they keep doing it)

We are not sure when the grass was put down but we’ve noticed that it is very brown in spots. Does anyone know any lawn care tips about aerating, fertilizing, watering, etc……

pool holds almost 5,000 gallons of water but will be in partial shade. need to know how to set your system up. also wonder if the hose could be coiled on the ground in a sunny area rather than put up on the roof? what horsepower and type of pump do I need? how many gallons per hour should the pump circulate? where do you find 500 foot black garden hoses? do you use a solar blanket with your system or solar fish or leave it uncovered?

We have to design a completely LEGAL dream house (like the height regulations and stuff like that) and i was thinking i would make it have a turf front lawn and fake flowers in the garden. If i did this for real life would it be legal. (none of my neighbors would care i asked them)

I recently moved into a house here in Denver and have never had a sprinkler system. I have no clue how to go about turning it on. I see the sprinkler heads when I mow the yard and I see a timer type box in the basement and that’s about the only things I have figured out so far.
A buddy in the office mentioned something or other about a main valve that needs to be turned on using this T bar? I pulled a metal circle cover off that I found under some weeds in the yard and saw some wires and a hole about 4 feet deep. No clue where I was supposed to stick a T bar tool in there. There’s also another box closer to the garden hose area that I opened up and found a bunch of black pieces of plastic (and a few monster size spiders). I did use the T bar tool to bash a few of those monster spiders, so that was good. Also the guy in the office mentioned something about shut off valves and what not, but the only thing I’ve found is a couple of handles on the pipe near the outside garden spicket.
As I’m sure anyone who reads this has figured out by now… I am clueless with this sprinkler system. Can anyone tell me what to do or do I bite the bullet and pay someone to come out?

I’m using Jerry Baker’s lawn care system and it requires a 20 gallon hose-end sprayer.

The pipe underneath my deck that I use for a garden hose broke. The valve to turn that water supply off needed to be replaced also. The guy had to craw underneath my deck to fix the beak. I hired him from Craigslist. He was here 3 hours and I paid him 0 bucks. Was I ripped off?

I bought 8 cubic yards of mulch and need more. dealer said it might be cheaper to get a semi trailer load that is 18-20 tons. Anybody work at a lawn care place have any idea how many cubic yards are in a ton or how many cubic yards are in a semi load?
Thank you
