Looking to hire a profession landscaping company in North Ga. area and would like to know what questions to ask. Has anyone used a landscaping service in Dawsonville Georgia or perhaps a landscaping service in Gainesville Georgia?

I have one of those bench type hose reels and the instructions suck. There is a short length of hose that I think gets attached to my faucet and I believe the other end of it (that’s inside the bench) is where the garden hose is attached. I hate to sound stupid; but the insert with the "instructions" doesn’t explain squat.
Thanks everyone–even if I gave the mfg name, it wouldn’t help because their website and other sites where the product is offered don’t even show a diagram of the thing. Anyway, I think I had the right idea (and you two responders have confirmed my thoughts)–thanks again to all.

Should I charge per hour or per job. I have my own equipment and there are two of us so I was thinking about charging about 50$ an hour, from there I would charge the same amount per week for weekly mowing.

We’d once heard that, if the water isn’t turned off and the hose emptied, the water pressure would eventually damage the hose. We use a high quality, thick-walled hose.
(Of course we empty the hose if frost is expected, and store the hose indoors over winter.)

I know they make special hoses for the house. Im just seeing if theres a cheaper option. I live in an apartment and we have a window above our kitchen sink that leads to the back yard. I need a hose to spray down the yard after i pooper scoop ( i have two dogs). It would also be nice to bath them on the back porch. Im not sure if the specialty indoor hoses will handle all that. oh and if there is an adapter where do i find it???

There is hardly any home or company untouched by the beauty of flowers and decorative plants. Indoor gardening is not necessarily an art, as it takes little time and effort. There are however people who have pushed the concept of indoor gardening a lot further, and actually grow a herb garden indoors Since most such gardens use artificial light, they have the major advantage of not having to destroy weeds to often. Plus, the condition of the soil can be supported a lot better without the direct influence of the elements.
Ceramic or plastic containers are essential for indoor gardening. Plastic has the inconvenience of getting hot, which is why most gardeners prefer ceramic materials with some form of drainage at the bottom to let water flow away. The preparation of the soil poses most challenges for indoor gardening. Different or equal proportions of ingredients need to be added, such as sharp coarse sand, peat moss and native soil.
Indoor gardening could also use a combination of sand, silica, forest mulch and perlite. The conditions change if your vegetables grow in hanging containers because you have to keep them lightweight normally relying on some premixed soils. From this point of view, indoor gardening is a bit more expensive as the costs for the soil mixture can be an issue for the average budget. But, once again, it all depends on the extent you give to indoor gardening.
Besides soil, another issue that requires your attention is that of the containers. Proper drainage and aeration are a must. It is important to leave some two inches of space between the margin of the contain and the soil so as to be able to water without problems. As for the gardening cycles, most people will stick to the same routine as with outdoor gardening. Yet, since there are no weather changes, you can grow plants directly from seeds.
Indoor gardening makes beautiful use of herbs and cherry tomatoes for decorative purposes. They smell and look great, enhancing a positive atmosphere. Rosemary, chives and mint will delight your senses while you are working on your little indoors garden. The arrangement of shelves, tables and plant stands can further enhance the beauty of the garden.

Is door to door appropriate? Or flyers? My husband needs an extra job on the side, and we can’t spend much $ in advertising. He does excellant work.

Galvanize pipe is expensive! Is there an inexpensive winter/ all weather PVC I can use, to add a faucet extension to my backyard garden?
